I love cars but im not all that clued up.
Whats the difference between running 95 octane and 105 octane? Does 105 give beta power? and by how much.....
Also, any good advice whether to get a uni-chip or just have my one re-mapped?

running higher octane will give you sweet buggerall gains if your ecu isnt tuned for it.

As above...people have the chips tuned for high octane and track use and if they use it daily they may put lower octane in just to punt around with

if their cars are tuned for the higher octane, then yes, it works.
if not, they are wasting their money.

u can also jsut get some thing to mix with ur normal petrol. forgot wat it called now. i jsut went blank. cali help out.

octane boosters.
but same thing applies again, wont work if its not tuned for it.

To put it simply, higher octane fuel allows you to advance the timing more, run a higher compression ratio and run more boost before detonation occurs.

a 97 ron fuel has a slower more controlled burn time and a 95 ron has a quicker burn time,
burn time is the flame front in the combustion camber and across piston crown
