I bought this car for next to nothing and it's such a rare find cos it's stock standard! Not for long tho!

Ahhh man...she drives like a dream! The car's interior is mint and the engine is mint, the only problem is the body is showing its age a bit! But that will get sorted out in time!

Damn...1st problem...got in the car yesterday morning and no clutch! The slave cylinder was messed....so getting my car back today after 111 uneccessary pounds spent! That's why I never use mechanics and do all my own repairs...i just had no choice this time!

OK time for an update...

I have had endless problems...but all I can say is...Sacrifices!

First the clutch cylinder went, got that sorted.

Then I washed my engine....that messed up my engine. So I replaced the ignition coils. The new one is on the left, note the spring on the new one...better contact with plug!

But the engine was still not running right..missfiring badly...It was suggested that my fuel pump was the problem...but before I went out and bought a fuel pump i checked the plugs. They were cheapy ones and 3 of the four were caked in oil....so I got new bosch super 4's




Now she runs like a dream....then I figured out why the cone filter I bought wasnt working properly (Gasket covered the meter in the AFM)...so sorted that out and.... it sounds great...plus I can hear the waste gate chatter now! Oh and I gave the AFM a good clean and that sorted out all my engine problems!




So basically it all boiled down to crapy plugs and dirty AFM! I'm so chuffed now!
Oh and while I was at it I Debadged, Destickered and T Cut my car...looking cleaner!

did you clean your maf sensor?

Yeah they were, and I later found out that they were like the cheapest ones you could get! People have no pride...

Yes I did clean the sensor, Undid the unit on there and sprayed the wires with carb cleaner! THEY WERE FILTHY!
Thank goodnes I did that before going and spending huge amounts of money on parts that dont need fixing!

Apart from the rust that we have to contend with in this country! I DO NOT LIKE RUST!
But when I save up enough cash the whole shell will go in for a refurb and new paint job...but thats when ive learned how to drift and wont damage the car anymore!

So it's about time for update again.

Bought myself a set of 40 mm springs off a guy on the SX owners club site and fitted them today with the help of another sx owner

So here she is on stock suspension

4x4 territory! haha

Here are the new (old) springs:



Heres the 18 years of build up we had to contend with. And one nut that was stuck and there was no other way of doing it without an angle grinder


But after sorting out the one suspensions problems...the rest went without a hitch (except for a sqaushed finger).

So here is the final result:
